When it comes to the Fourth of July, bigger is always better, and over at RiverEdge Park, we’re gonna have one of the biggest celebrations in the area.

Bring your friends and family to a hands-down perfect way to celebrate your country and everything it stands for. It all starts with the patriotic American Legion Band. These guys bleed red, white and blue and will have you swelling with pride listening to their incredible American standards, marches and more. Then we get a bit more contemporary with the 60-plus member Fox Valley Orchestra. You can expect anything and everything with this crew. From Top 40 hits to classics to your favorite movie scores, they know it all and play it all. Finally, the night ends in a breathtaking, jaw-dropping fireworks extravaganza that will blow your socks off and make you realize Aurora ain’t the City of Lights for nothing.

Sounds great, right? That’s not all. We’ve got local food vendors and inflatables for the kids.  The City of Aurora is also graciously providing free park and ride shuttle services from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., providing roundtrip transportation to 13 convenient locations throughout the city. The shuttles will resume service after the fireworks display with the latest departure set for 11 p.m.

But wait! There’s even more! Before the fireworks start, be sure to take part in an attempt to create a world record for the most people head-banging to “Bohemian Rhapsody.” It’s going to be a rocking time!
