Now Hiring: Beverage Hawker

Position: RiverEdge Park Beverage Hawker (Seasonal)

Organization: Aurora Civic Center Authority

Reporting: This position reports to the Front of House Operations Director.

Start Date: Orientations TBA. Each employee is required to attend one orientation date.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve a limited menu of drinks from a beverage hawking tray at a high volume outdoor music venue
  • Accountable for all product and physical inventory received
  • Take beverage orders directly from patrons
  • Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
  • Attend Pre-event Guide meetings and other trainings as instructed by management
  • Comply with all Liquor Commission and Health Department Rules and Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Consistently standing and walking while carrying 25 to 35 pounds
  • Previous hospitality and beverage service preferred
  • Positive customer service attitude at all times
  • Handle high stress outdoor environment during the summer months
  • Work in a fast-paced environment in conditions such as noise, low lighting and all varieties of weather
  • Available for inconsistent and late night hours
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Currently have or able to obtain BASSETT Certification
  • Be on feet for several hours
  • Must be at least 21 years old

HOURS

Position is part-time, seasonal and hourly. Weekend availability is a must. Hours are event dependent – typically 4-5 hours per event; 12-15 events per summer.
