Position: RiverEdge Park Seating Guide (Seasonal)
Organization: Aurora Civic Center Authority
Reporting: This position reports to the Front of House Operations Director.
Start Date: Orientations TBA. Each employee is required to attend one orientation date.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet, advise and escort RiverEdge Park patrons to the correct seating areas
- Check tickets and provide general customer service within RiverEdge Park
- Be aware of and enforce appropriate house rules
- Must be aware of and follow the proper procedures for assisting patrons with disabilities
- Be a kind and informative host to all guests
- Attend Pre-event Guide meetings and other trainings as instructed by management
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and adhere to the Paramount Theatre and RiverEdge Park Guidelines and Regulations
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Be on feet for long periods of time in an outdoor setting
- Ability to read small print
- Be available for flexible scheduled hours, including weekends
- Provide excellent communication with the patrons of RiverEdge Park
- Work in a fast-paced environment in conditions such as noise, low lighting and all varieties of weather
- Collaborate with security and local law enforcement to identify misconduct within RiverEdge Park
- Communicate clearly and effectively to patrons
- Deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness
- Be aware and helpful to all other departments as needed
- Must be 16 years of age or older
HOURS
Position is part-time, seasonal and hourly. Weekend availability is a must. Hours are event dependent – typically 4-5 hours per event; 12-15 events per summer.
